…lend me your ears;
I come to bury Caesar, not to praise him.
The evil that men do lives after them… .— William Shakespeare, Julius Caesar, Act III, Scene II
Okay, let's agree first to interpret "bury" in a purely figurative sense. As in, "the more The Lightbringer speaks, the more he's getting buried in the polls."
Which is perhaps wishful thinking on my part, but I have to have something to look forward to. If not, the urge to stay in bed all day becomes overwhelming.
On the eve of the one of the most important Supreme Court decisions in my lifetime, I can only pray that the justices have seen the light. I expect it to be a 5-4 split; I just hope it's five for my side and four for theirs. Else, regardless of what happens in November, the evil that this man did will live after him, and poison generations to come.
_____
Speaking of evil, the last decision made by the Supreme Court and the Anointed One's reaction to it needs to be hammered in ads. HARD. The amount of hubris shown by this man is absolutely sickening. He did all but throw the toys out of the pram with his reaction to the decision (which I do NOT agree with, but if you've read this blog for any amount of time you'd probably already figured that out).
The only part left intact of the Arizona legislation by SCOTUS was the paper check. (Better that than nothing, I suppose.) So what does He do? Turns around and directs DHS to be "selective" about enforcement, if they decide to enforce it at all. (Shades of Andrew Jackson, anyone?)
If, under DHS's 287(g) program, local officials haven't been officially deputized by federal agents to make immigration arrests, they can't enforce the remaining provision in the Arizona law. And ICE has all but said that they'll just look the other way unless they feel like doing otherwise. So illegals can run amok without so much as fear of a slap on the wrist.
Gov. Brewer, in her usual take-no-prisoners style, immediately summed it up:
"[The decision showed Obama] has demonstrated anew his utter disregard for the safety and security of the Arizona people. …We are on our own, apparently."
And they are. As are the rest of the states that have passed legislation to try and protect themselves from invasion. But we shouldn't be surprised. The only safety and security the POTUS is interested in the safety and security of his job, and he'd have thrown Judas under the bus to sell Jesus to the Romans himself it meant re-election.

I can only hope that the utter and complete disregard this man has for the rule of law, and for the safety of the American people, along with the policies he's implemented over the last few years, remains fresh in the minds of voters this fall. He's NOT God; he's not an administrator; he's not even a good representative of this country to the world. He's a narcissistic idiot so focused on being personally entertained while pushing a radical agenda that he's oblivious to the reality of the consequences.
Or maybe he just doesn't give a fuck.
