Beautiful pattern and a great color yarn for socks. Enjoy the scouting - I could never do it, so I hand it to you guys who step up to the plate for us slackers.

Your socks are wonderful! They look so soft and squishy.
Good luck with the Girl Scouts. Been there done that. It really isn't bad except for the kids who lack manners and torture the other kids. Oh and the cookies. The never ending cookies...

Unless exercising your First Amendment rights is a crime I think you're golden....then again, have you been photographed at any Tea Party events? That could be a killer in this climate.......

You crack me up. Fidget wishes she was in your troop. Of course she isn't in any troop right now. I couldn't make it past 4th grade Girl Scouts. The crafts were so lame that I quit. Make sure you plan decent crafts. You could have all the girls knitting in no time! Enjoy- :l
ps great socks! that is an ambitious pattern.

Jo

Lovely socks. I'm the other way around - I like shorter socks because I have such short (round) legs.

Emily

Very lovely sock. I shall have to see if I can find that book at the local library!

Somehow we missed out on all of the girl scouts info when Anna started kindergarten, and haven't seen any this year either. Part of me is sad, and part it happy that I get to keep my evenings free. (and if I need cookies, I have plenty of co-workers with little girl scouts of their own!)

so i thought this…

  • "How can it be a large career to tell other people’s children about the Rule of Three, and a small career to tell one’s own children about the universe? How can it be broad to be the same thing to everyone, and narrow to be everything to someone? No; a woman’s function is laborious, but because it is gigantic, not because it is minute."
    G.K. Chesterton, What's Wrong With the World,1910
